RLR Creations has secured another weekend at the 1847 Quilt Retreat Center located in Millersburg, Ohio for a bag making retreat! For anyone who could not make the retreat in March, and for those that attended and want to come again, we will be back the weekend of August 16-19th, 2019!
Come join us in the Heart of Ohio’s Quilt Country for a fun filled weekend at the historic Hotel Millersburg Hotel.
The historical 1847 Hotel Millersburg offers unique guest rooms with: queen or king beds and modern bathrooms. Many guest rooms feature Victorian era decor. Historic documents, antique pictures, and mirrors decorate the guest rooms, hallways, and common areas.

Your ticket price of $425 includes a 3 night stay at the retreat center (in your own bed), breakfast each morning, snacks and drinks throughout each day, an exclusive RLR Creations pattern, a hands on activity (all supplies included), and so much more!
Enjoy breakfast each morning (included) then take the elevator down to the sewing room-
There is an abundance of space for each bag maker in the sewing room, that includes: individual sewing tables, ironing stations and cutting areas for all to use.
Take a break for lunch-
We will break for a 2-hour lunch each day to give everyone the opportunity to explore the town and/or visit one of the 23 local quilt shops. A special map will be provided to show you the locations of all the fabric and fiber places you will want to visit (the map including directional “loops” to make the best of your shopping time). Discount coupons will also be provided to you by local shops!!
After the lunch break we will meet back in the sewing room to continue working on our bags. Rachel will available for one-on-one help throughout the designated sewing time.
We will also have a hands on activity (all supplies included) where we will teach you something new to do with fabric besides sewing it!
Enjoy dinner on your own or with you new bag making friends-
What you do in the evening is up to you!
Go out and explore Ohio's Quilt Country: the shopping, antiques, history, and pampering available are sure to entertain! There are over 23 fabric and quilt shops in the surrounding area!
Or stay in and have dinner at The Tavern, spend some time getting a relaxing chair massage, or enjoy evening entertainment in the hotel’s courtyard.
Stay up late and sew all night or head back to your room to relax, watch TV, and get a good night of sleep.
Don’t want to travel alone-
Bring a (non-sewing) plus one for an additional $100. This includes a 3 night stay at the retreat center (sharing your bed), breakfast each morning, and snacks & drinks throughout each day. They can enjoy some rest and relaxation while you are sewing. You can meet up with them for lunch in the hotel restaurant and dinner out on the town. (Lunch and Dinner meals are not included in the retreat fee.)

Our timeline for the weekend is as follows:
Friday, August 16: Check into the hotel at 3 PM; Meet and Greet at 5 PM (in the sewing room)
Saturday, August 17: Sewing & Such with Rachel from 9 AM -- 6 PM * (2-hour lunch: 12-2 PM)
Sunday, August 18: Sewing & Such with Rachel from 9 AM -- 6 PM * (2-hour lunch: 12-2 PM)
Monday, August 19: Check out of the Hotel at 11 AM; Check out from the Sewing Room is 3 PM (Spend the day heading around town before heading home!)
*The sewing room is open 24 hours/day, so feel free to spend your spare time here as well ... when you aren't enjoying the surrounding sights of Ohio's Quilt Country!
