The Kiley Clutch

Versatility meets function with the  Kiley Clutch. Ever had one of those days when you weren’t sure if you needed a wallet, a clutch, or just a small shoulder bag? Well Kiley offers it all.

Use the detachable wrist strap to carry on your wrist or easily transform the Kiley from a clutch to an over the shoulder bag by switching to or removing the shoulder strap.

The Kiley Clutch offers the convenience of a built-in wallet to allow you more room on the interior for your daily essentials with 6 credit card slots behind a snap closed slip pocket that will hold your cash or receipts. Two additional slip pockets on the interior and a back zipper pocket is ideal for coins or other small items.

Best of all the pattern comes with 3 flap styles to choose from to create the perfect Kiley to suit your style. Mix and match your favorite prints, vinyl, or cork to create your very own one of a kind Kiley Clutch.

Kiley Measures: 11” wide, 8 high, and 1 ½” deep with optional detachable shoulder strap. A quick sew with minimal fabric and hardware requirements so you will be carrying your new Kiley in no time at all.

Materials Needed: 

FABRICS AND INTERFACINGS:

• 1 Piece -18 x 27 Cork, Vinyl, or Leather OR ½ yard 44” Quilting Weight or Décor Weight- Main Fabric

• ¾ yard 44” wide Quilting Weight Cotton- Lining Fabric

• ½ yard Fusible Pellon SF 101 or a woven shaping Interfacing –Light Interfacing

• ½  yard  Fusible Décor Bond - Pellon  809 Firm Stablizer- Heavy Interfacing

  • *NOTE:  If you are choosing Cork, Heavy Vinyl or Leather for your Main Fabrics- to reduce bulk it would be ideal to use Light Interfacing on your A, B, C Main Fabric pieces for the clutch.

• ¼ yard Fusible Fleece -TP971F-Pellon Fleece Thermolam Plus

HARDWARE:

• 1- 1" Trigger Hook

• 1-1" O-Ring or D Ring

• 2- ½" D-rings-optional for shoulder strap

• 2- ½” Trigger Hooks--optional for shoulder strap

• 1- Tongue Lock, Twist Lock, Half Moon Magnetic Lock, or Flap Closure Hardware of your choice.

• 1 set- #20 Kam Snaps- optional

ZIPPERS:

•  1- 9” Zipper- Exterior Back

OTHER:

Coordinating thread

Removable Fabric Marker (I recommend a Frixion gel pen as it can be removed by pressing with an iron.)

Microtex (Sharp) Needle 80/12 –Recommended for topstitching through the thicker parts.
