The Izzi Reversible Backpack

Features two different exterior sides so you have one backpack with two different looks. You can use the backpack two ways, just flip the elastic band and pull the straps to the opposite sides to change the look of your bag.

Izzi is a low-profile backpack that sits flat on the back to be comfortable. The Large version is big enough to carry a 15" (13" overall width) laptop. The ideal on the go bag to take your laptop, a notebook and the charging cord to your favorite coffee shop. A great library bag, or even made with waterproof fabric for a swim bag or beach bag- with enough room for a towel, flip flops and some sunscreen, and a few extras!

The inside features a set of slip pockets and a zippered pocket.

The smaller size would make a good alternative to a handbag or a great hands-free bag while enjoying summer activities.

Large Size Measures: 14” wide, 15 ½” high and the

Small Size Measures: 12” wide, 13 ½” high

Pattern was designed with a confident beginner bag maker in mind, however even experienced bag makers will enjoy how quickly this bag comes together. A great sew and sell bag style!

Materials Needed:

FABRICS AND INTERFACINGS:

• 1 Piece 17” x 22” (13” x 18” for small) 44” wide Quilting Weight Cotton OR fabric of choice- Main Fabric Side #1

• 1 Piece 17” x 22” (13” x 18” for small) 44” wide Quilting Weight Cotton OR fabric of choice- Main Fabric Side #2

• 1 yard (¾ yard for small) 44” wide Quilting Weight Cotton - Lining Fabric

Or if you prefer to use the same fabric for Side #2 and the Interior of the backpack, you will need 1 ¼ yards (1 yard for small) total for Main Fabric Side #2 and Lining Fabric.

• ½ yard (½ yard for small) 44” wide Quilting Weight Cotton - Contrast Fabric

• 1 ¼ yards (¾ yard for small) 20” Fusible Pellon SF 101 Shapeflex Interfacing - Light Interfacing

• 1 yard (¾ yard for small) 45” Fusible Pellon 809 Décor Bond Interfacing - Heavy Interfacing

• ½ yard (½ yard for small) 45” Fusible Fleece -TP971F-Pellon Fleece Thermolam Plus - Stabilizer

• 1- 15” piece 2” Soft Waistband Elastic

ZIPPERS:

• 1- 10” Zipper-Interior Zipper Pocket

HARDWARE:

• 2- 1” D-rings

• 2- 1” Strap Sliders

• 4-Oval Shaped (1 ¼” interior dimension) Grommets
